Guidance Curriculum

School Counselors in middle school play a large role in educationg students in acadmic personal/social and career topics. Additionally counselors deliver lessons with the intention to provide preventive services to avoid systemic concerns such as cyberbullying, personal saftey and study skills.

Classroom Guidance

The guidance curriculum is structured developmental lessons designed to assist students in achieving the desired competencies and to provide all students with the knowledge and skills appropriate for their developmental level.

The Clark middle school counseling deparment delivers this service to all students as a TIER 1 intervention. When a student promotes from Clark, they will have a vast knowlege of many post-secondary options after high school and the paths to get there, learn effective study habits for high school and beyond and be prepared to meaningfully interact with their peers to achive school sucess. All guidance lessons are given based on data driven needs and target the ASCA national stadards for school counseling.
